Description
KAWS “Companion (Flayed)” Vinyl Figure (Blush)
The KAWS “Flayed” Companion in red presents a more intense and visually striking version of one of the artist’s most concept-driven designs. Maintaining the signature split composition, the figure contrasts the familiar Companion exterior with a fully exposed anatomical interior.
The monochromatic red palette amplifies the sculptural detail, allowing the internal structures—muscles, organs, and skeletal elements—to blend into a cohesive, layered form. This unified color scheme creates a more dramatic and cohesive look compared to the traditional brown version, emphasizing depth through texture rather than color contrast.
On the exterior half, the classic Companion silhouette remains intact, complete with the iconic X-eyed face and simplified form. The exposed side reveals intricate detailing, highlighting the craftsmanship behind the piece and reinforcing themes of vulnerability and internal structure.
Crafted from high-quality vinyl, the figure balances precision detailing with a clean, durable finish suitable for display.
Dimensions: approximately 11 inches tall.
The red colorway stands out for its bold presence and artistic intensity, making it a favorite among collectors who prefer more visually aggressive and statement-driven pieces.
